Connect scoops best cleanroom of the year award

Connnect 2 Cleanrooms has won the 2018 Cleanroom Technology Conference’s Best Cleanroom Facility award.
The company won for its contract on the 990m², ISO class 8 facility for global medical products and technologies company, Convatec.
Judges said Connect 2 Cleanrooms’ project presentation: “was not only broad in scope but also showed careful consideration of aesthetics, energy efficiency and sustainability, while meeting budget and timeline constraints, and making good use of the latest build technology and method.”
The company used offsite construction and building information modelling (BIM) techniques to meet time, budget and specification constraints.
To ensure the cleanroom was aligned with the current facility, where the corridors incorporate windows and doors, a point cloud 3D scan of the entire building was conducted in the initial stages to provide a virtual view of the space.
