Membrane technology expert Modern Water has won global industry analysts Frost & Sullivan’s 2018 new product innovation award for its toxicity monitor series.
The Microtox Continuous Toxicity Monitor (CTM) series is capable of two measurements per second, compared to traditional monitors’ maximum rate of one per 15 minutes, says the company. It is also capable of detecting more than 2,700 toxic chemicals and compounds.
Doug Workman, president of the firm’s monitoring division: “This award from Frost & Sullivan’s extensive study is important recognition of the technological developments we’ve made in our advanced bioluminescence technology platform.”
The CTM, which can be operated and maintained with a low level of skill has been used for drinking and wastewater intake protection in Europe, North America and Asia.
US-based Frost & Sullivan is a leading presence in international water industry analysis and market research. Its annual awards are based on the extensive product research carried out by the company throughout the year.
