The Kidderminster-based process engineering company, which was previously part of the AWG group, claims a strong track record in the water and wastewater industry. The 250-employee operation has recently also been moving into other environmental markets, particularly municipal solid waste treatment.
“We will be consolidating our position in the water sector and pursuing further growth opportunities using our proprietary technologies in the expanding waste and renewable energy sectors,” said Enpure managing director Malcolm Wilkinson. “We believe this change of ownership provides a real springboard for the future.”
Wilkinson went on to emphasise that the underlying business culture of the company remains the same. “This is change but no change,” he said in a 6 Dec company statement.
Francesco Santinon, head of investment at Aberdeen Asset Management added: “We believe that the water and waste management sector represent significant opportunity and Enpure is extremely well positioned to take advantage of this."
