From light through medium to heavy duty industrial applications, Elesa’s castor range spans from the RE.E3 (at up to 250kg per wheel) via the RE.FF (up to 750kg per wheel) and on to the RE.F5 (over 750kg per wheel).
The range addresses applications such as manually manoeuvred trolleys, barrows or equipment in storage, service or production or waste handling environments; industrial trolleys or transfer equipment, including production, machining, transport, distribution and storage.
The Elesa RE.E3 features a tough zinc plated steel bracket in either static or rotating configuration.
The latter also being available with total lock braking (rotation of bracket and wheel simultaneously locked) by means of a quick release foot pedal. Wheel sizes of 80mm to 200mm diameter are matched with unit heights of 107mm to 240mm.
Design-wise, the unit features double ball races for ease of turning and manoeuvring matched with a precision plain bearing running in the steel wheel centre.
Compact configuration has optimised dimensions to ensure minimal space utilisation for greater stability and reduced protrusion from the basic equipment footprint.
The RE.E3 is considered suitable for use between -20°C to +80°C and in humid conditions.
RE.FF castors feature a double ball race chassis in zinc plated steel or in stainless steel for arduous environments and minimal turning resistance - an important factor in initial alignment when moving from rest.
Traditional swivel and fixed chassis are complemented by total lock braking versions which operate to prevent wheel turning as well as castor rotation.
Wheel sizes are available from 80mm to 150mm diameter with total height of 107 to 194mm.
Chemical resistance of the RE.FF is good in relation to common industrial chemicals such as alcohols, glycols, weak organic and mineral acids, as well as water and saturated vapour, so ensuring efficient use and castor longevity in temperatures from -20°C to +80°C.
RE.F5 series castors are based on fixed plate, swivel plate and total lock swivel chassis where the swivel mechanism incorporates a dual ball race for minimal turn loads at low speeds.
Standard rugged chassis construction is of zinc plated steel which combined with its other features ensures excellent smooth performance with a high degree of longevity and within its -20° to +80°C operating range.
Other design features to note include optimal dimensions which ensure the RE.F5 occupies minimal space with greatest ease of activation.
Sizes available range from 80mm to 200mm diameter wheels with dynamic load capacities up to 7500 N for complete castors.
