Bredel APEX hose pumps are designed to reduce maintenance costs and increase uptime.
The pumps were recently put to the test in process-critical abrasive slurry transfer at a rugged industrial site in the US.
When compared with existing pump technologies, APEX pumps can extend uptime between scheduled maintenance intervals, Watson Marlow says.
According to Watson Marlow, while the end user’s existing AOD pumps needed maintenance every seven or 10 days, without membranes, seals, valves, stators, rotors or glands to wear, the APEX hose pump ran continuously for six months.
When APEX pump maintenance is required, it will take no more than 30 minutes, with the only consumable part being a single hose element, Watson Marlow claims.
