Cole-Parmer has introduced the snap-in disposable pump head engineered for single-use dosing applications.
Utilising rotary volumetric pistons to produce a steady, pulseless flow with high volume and flow rate accuracy, the new pump heads are designed for operator maintenance with snap-in disposable heads to fit the industry standard Masterflex L/S Drives.
The rate of flow over time from the dual pumping chambers minimises the need for calibration, says the company, and produces constant, repeatable flow at rates of up to 500 mL/min at speeds up to 100 rpm. Fluids with viscosities of up to 70 cps and discharge pressure of up to 2.5 bar (36 psi) can also be handled.
Mounting to the Masterflex drive is quick and easy, says Cole-Parmer, with the reusable adapter allowing operators to quickly snap-in a clean, disposable pumphead when required.
The company also adds that this new solution for single-use or single-campaign fluid transfer eliminates cross-contamination and cleaning overheads.
