Former Grand Prix senior manager and Formula One analyst Mark Gallagher will deliver the third Trevor Kletz memorial lecture at Hazards 27, the Institution of Chemical Engineers’ (IChemE) annual process safety conference.
The conference takes places in Birmingham on 10-12 May 2017 and is organised by IChemE in association with the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center (Texas A&M University).
Gallagher will draw parallels between risk management in the very different worlds of motorsport and the process industries, offering insight into the evolution of risk management and safety culture within Formula One, and how the lessons learned can be transferred to the high hazard industries.
Speakers from BASF, Shell, Marsh Energy, and Unilever will also give keynote presentations at the conference.
