Hydro wins Company prize at Subsea UK Awards

Hydro Group has scooped the Company of the Year trophy at the Subsea UK annual awards in Aberdeen
It was the highlight of an evening that saw a range of leading names cited for their contribution to the industry.
Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK remarked: “The past two years have been extremely challenging for the oil and gas sector. However, we have continued to see an unwavering commitment from companies of all sizes to drive a real change across our industry.”
Among the other firms that were honoured were Proserv, which received the Innovation & Technology award for its Artemis 2G (A2G) technical solution.

EC-OG won Small Company of the Year, with The Underwater Centre winning the Innovation for Safety award, while the Global Exports award went to JDR Cable Systems for its rapid expansion into key international markets with its umbilical systems.
Among the awards to individuals was the Outstanding Achievement award which went to Enpro Subsea’s MD and founder Ian Donald.
Gordon commented: “Ian has been engaged in the sector for over 30 years and fulfilled a number of key roles within the operator, major service companies and SME environments with demonstrable success. He is a well-respected figure within the subsea industry and his recognition tonight is thoroughly deserved.”
Aidan O'Sullivan, subsea engineer at Universal Pegasus International scooped the award for Young Emerging Talent.
