One-size software fits all

Working on the emerging FDT/DTM standard, Endress + Hauser's FieldCare software is a single tool for multi-vendor devices, performing device configuration and remote diagnostics independent of manufacturer.

It is said to offer complete plant asset management, providing service and support throughout the plant's lifecycle. It also provides unrestricted choice of communication and topology, with full support for existing devices.

In particular, FieldCare supports E+H instrumentation during integration into third party systems.

The company says it aids the sourcing of the best solution for an application and also acts an 'operation support system', offering instrument condition monitoring to help schedule preventative maintenance and reduce plant downtime.

Users can choose the standard package to begin with and then upgrade as and when more functionality is required.
