Adjustable stator saves downtime

Nemo pumps is launching an adjustable stator to extend the service life of progressive cavity pumps.
For applications where wear rates are high and the pump is critical to the manufacturing process, fitting adjustable stators extends the service life of the pump, even when aggressive materials such as abrasives and slurries are being pumped, claims the company.
Adjustable stators allow engineers to correct the stator geometry to compensate for any wear between the stator and the rotor.
Resetting the adjustable stator, which is carried out while the pump is at operating temperature, is achieved by progressively adjusting a number of dampening screws whilst checking the delivery rate for improvement.
