Developed by the water treatment division of Ciba Specialty Chemicals, the Alcotech-BP/CG dose control system is bringing benefits in treating municipal sewage sludge. Designed for use in belt press or centrifuge dewatering processes, the system automatically doses flocculants in response to changes in the solids content of the sludge.
At the heart of the system is a highly accurate Krohne Corimass G+ mass flowmeter, a low-maintenance, single straight tube unit that monitors the solids content of the sludge
