Targor, the polypropylene joint venture between BASF and Hoechst, is to build a two-line 32,000tpa compounding facility at Wilton, replacing a six-line 24,000tpa unit. Costing DM25million, the plant will start up early next year. The plant will strengthen Targor's position in the European markets, although its primary customers will be in the UK, the company says.
