Tech transfer blossoms
15 Jan 2000
British technology transfer company BTGposted a pre-tax profit of £170000 in the six months to October, following a £2.1million loss in the same period of 1995. Its turnover increased 38 per cent, to £12.1million. The company, which licenses patents from research organisations to industry, has had several successes over the period, including the launch of the anti-cancer drug Tomudex by Zeneca and an agreement with Cinpres to market Scorim, an innovative injection moulding process.
