Sir Christopher Lewington is to step down as chief executive of engineering company TI Group, although he will retain his position as chairman. The new chief executive will be Bill Laule, currently in a similar position at one of TI's US subsidiaries, Bundy International. TI is also to launch its polymer engineering business (which makes O-rings) as a main business group; it is currently part of the John Crane subsidiary group.
Taking the load at Thames Side
John Froggatt is to join Thames Side-Maywood as sales and marketing director for its entire load-cell and force-transducer range. He was previously with gas detection specialist Crowcon.
Smith heads up Fulton thermal unit
Fulton Boiler Works has named Andy Smith as project manager of its new thermal products division, which will target the food, petrochemicals and phamaceuticals industries.
