What do engineers read?

The publisher of PE, Centaur Publishing, is to invite publishers of other engineering iitles to join a project aimed at answering just that question. Neil Wood, md of Centaur's Engineering Division, is endorsing the plan to set up the first Joint Industry Readership Survey among engineers. The survey will be known as JICERS and has already attracted the interest of the Engineering Council, the Daily Telegraph and a major engineering company.
`We want to be able to deliver research concerning the value of the engineering press in the UK and are pleased to be backing this independent research unequivocally,' said Wood.
Two leading research agencies have been invited to tender to conduct the survey.
