Energy efficiency for small air users

Atlas Copco’s new GA11VSD series of compressors are said to offer reduced energy costs and precise pressure control for the smaller compressed air user.
The 11kW machines produce 10- 13bar, 50Hz performance, with a flow range from 7 to 29 l/s (15-62cfm), and operate at reduced system pressures to achieve lower power consumption, reduce leaks and provide a stable process air supply.
The variable speed control of the machines gives energy savings of up 35%. And with air treatment equipment such as refrigeration dryer, air filters and condensate management built into the compressor package, a further 10% saving can be derived from reduced installation costs and the elimination of pipework leakage and pressure drops.
An operating sound level of below 69dB(A) allows the compressor to be installed at the point of use, eliminating the need for a separate compressor room.
The GA11VSD compressors are supplied in a choice of floor-mounted, receiver-mounted (with a 300 litre receiver), and skid-mounted configurations.
