The SP300 smart positioner from Spirax Sarco can be used in a wide variety of process automation environments and communicates with Hart, Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus protocols. It is also compatible with all pneumatic actuator types.
The product carries an IP67 rating for protection against moisture and dust and is intrinsically safe with Ex is and flameproof with Ex d ratings for use in explosive atmospheres.
An optional stainless steel enclosure ensures it can be used in extremely harsh environments, for example offshore.
Using a Hall effect sensor enables the SP300 to be mounted up to 20m away from the valve, protecting it against excessive vibration or high temperatures or where access would otherwise be difficult.
Being an intelligent valve positioner, the SP300 can be commissioned remotely via the comms network or locally with a magnetic setting tool.
