Contract with Dee Valley Water to upgrade water treatment works in Chester
Process engineering company Purac and civil engineering firm Morrison, both part of AWG plc, have started work on a £10-million contract to refurbish a water treatment works at Boughton, Chester, Purac announced 3 Feb.
The contract with Dee Valley Water covers the construction of a new filter block, dirty wash water facility, a chlorine contact tank and associated pipework, said Purac. The work, it added, is expected to last two years to enable the Works to continue operating during the refurbishment project.
