Japanese group integrates resource management system with GE Energy software under co-operation deal
The integration will enable users to manage the condition of a broader cross-section of plant assets than by using either system individually, said Yokogawa.
Yokogawa's PRM system provides a framework for monitoring process sensors and valves and other field devices, while the GE platform offers similar functionality for the mechanical and thermodynamic health of rotating, reciprocating and fixed machinery.
System 1 is the only software supporting the proprietary communications with GE's widely used Bently Nevada vibration monitoring and machinery protection systems, according to Yokogawa.
