UK materials handling merger
12 May 2006
The acquisition adds Aeromaster¹s aero-mechanical powder/granules conveying capabilties to Fairport¹s specialism in materials handling equipment for the food, plastics, pharma, chemicals and minerals industries.
"The integration of Aeromaster into Fairport has resulted in a division 45-people strong comprising engineers, fitters, administration, technical and commercial roles," said a company spokesman.
Aeromaster, which will continue to trade under its own name, is to be integrated alongside Flomat Bagfilla Int., Fairport NEU Solutions and Fairport Process Equipment, said Paul Fitton, Fairport MD.
The acquisition will enable our group "to provide our clients with an even more comprehensive range of bespoke materials handling equipment and process systems," commented Fitton, in an 11 May press announcement.
Aeromaster¹s system features enclosed conveying for minimised dust emissions, reduced product degradation and high throughput at lower power consumption, said the Fairport spokesman. The unit can operate at any angle, which is a great advantage when space is a problem, he added.
