Instron announces It's new Standard Video Extensometer

Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, announces its new Standard Video Extensometer (SVE). Designed to test a variety of plastics, elastomers and other materials, the 3300 Series, with an optional non-contacting SVE provides greater testing accuracy with no influence of weight or operating force on the specimen.

Controlled through set-up windows fully integrated with Instron’s Bluehill™ software, the SVE runs on a single computer system for increased ease-of-use and proven reliability. Additionally for increased flexibility, the SVE can be mounted onto a wide range of Instron testing machines and environmental chambers providing increased flexibility and allowing for testing at elevated and sub-ambient temperatures.

Configured with a load frame including integrated control electronics and load cells, Instron’s 3300 Series equipped with a SVE is ideally suited for Quality Control laboratories. With its unique automatic recognition and calibration of load and strain transducers, these testing systems meet or exceed measurement accuracy requirements of ASTM, EN, BS, ISO, JIS and other testing standards.

The 3300 Series’ user-friendly design allows for quick set-up and versatility. Column covers are fitted with T-slots for compatibility with various Instron accessories and fixtures. Instron’s no-clutch design increases reliability and improves load/speed performance. Safety features include ball screw covers for operator protection and longer machine life. In addition, the 3300 Series bench-top testers are available in four colors: teal green, cobalt blue, charcoal gray and scarlet red.
