Sterling, Scotland — Emerson Process Management is claiming an industry first with the introduction of a range of ‘smart’ liquid ultrasonic flowmeters, which are designed to facilitate detection and troubleshooting of measurement problems.
The new Daniel Series 3800 meters use digital intelligence to deliver dignostics in the oil & gas flow monitoring, particularly for fiscal metering. Target uses include custody transfer, allocation measurement, and check metering in offshore platforms, crude and refined product pipelines and marketing terminals.
The range offers Internet monitoring capabilities to enable users to remotely observe flow profiles, transducer status as well as ensuring measurement accuracy, according to an Emerson statement.
