The pumps include an equal wall stator, according to Yeovil-headquartered Seepex, which supplied the units. The design enables NECCO to achieve the same performance with a compact 2-stage pump as it would with a much longer conventional 4-stage unit, claims the machinery maker.
The new NECCO facility consolidates three former facilities into a single 820,000 square foot worldwide HQ and manufacturing facility in Revere, just north of Boston Massachusetts. The company has a second manufacturing facility — in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
NECCO, which dates its start back to 1847, currently has sales of around $100 million and 12000 employees. The company’s brands include NECCO Wafers, Sweethearts Conversation Hearts, Mary Jane, Clark, Mighty Malts, Haviland Thin Mints, and Candy House Candy Buttons.
