Emerson Process Management has won the fiscal metering contract for the Fujian LNG-import terminal. The $3bn project will create China's second largest LNG terminal, importing 2.6 million tonnes annually. Emerson Daniel products for the project include ultrasonic metering skids and gas turbine metering skids, including gas ultrasonic meters, gas turbine meters, flow computers and gas chromatographs.
BASF has signed a multi-million dollar licence agreement to expand its use of Aspen Technology's engineering software that it uses to optimise the design and efficiency of production processes at facilities worldwide. The deal covers aspenONE Process Engineering suite applications, including Aspen Plus, Aspen Batch Plus and Aspen Simulation Workbook.
Samsung Engineering has selected Honeywell's Experion Process Knowledge System to manage production at a new 1,000-ktpa ethylene plant in Saudi Arabia. The order is part of a $7-million contract, which also includes installation of Honeywell's Safety Manager platform at the Tasnee Petrochemicals site in Al Jubail Industrial City.
China Petrochemical Corp. has awarded Foster Wheeler contracts to design and supply three 100MWe circulating fluidised-bed boilers. The petroleum coke-fired boilers are scheduled for start-up at SINOPEC Tianjin Co's ethylene complex in Tianjin City in 2008.
