Carbon Trust in energy-efficiency link with insurer

London – The Carbon Trust has formed a partnership with global insurer RSA, whereby its technical experts will provide RSA’s customers with advice on installing new energy-efficiency equipment.
The partnership will see RSA’s ‘engineering inspection & consultancy’ business and its 450 engineers work with Carbon Trust ‘implementation services’ to promote the benefits of installing new energy efficient equipment.
There is increasing demand amongst large businesses such as RSA for us to help their customers get to grips with energy efficiency and capture the associated cost savings, explains Myles McCarthy, MD of Carbon Trust Implementation Services.
“This is a reflection of the fact that there are a wide range of options in this market and it is not always apparent where customers can source reliable advice,” he said.
Nigel Raywood, Consultancy Services Director at RSA, added: “We hope that by partnering with the Carbon Trust we can work with our customers to help them realise their carbon reduction goals.”
Installing new equipment, such as lighting, heating, ventilation and high efficiency air conditioning can hugely reduce energy bills, as well as reducing the risk of that equipment breaking down or causing accidents, notes RSA.
