Great Billing, UK - Anglian Water is employing Börger pumps at its new washwater plant at Great Billing in Northants - the largest advanced digestion plant in the UK.
Powered by 18.5kW motors, three PL200 Börger pumps handle flow rates of between 23m3/hr and 54m3/hr - with a suction lift of three metres - for the plant.
A further 15 Börger pumps are being used on six different applications, including the continuous transfer of sludge to the blend tank that feeds the raw sludge thickening belts prior to the anaerobic digesters.
“[The] pumps are proving a very reliable addition to our programme of improving assets and enhancing the overall performance of our sludge processes,” said Tim Hilsdon, Anglian Water’s Treatment Manager at Great Billing STW.
