Chinese wastewater win for Landia
4 Sep 2013
Landia has been selected to supply 78 pumps to a Chinese tourist centre in the country’s Guilin zones.
Landia has won a contract to provide flowmakers, mixers and recirculation pumps to equip two new wastewater treatment plants in a Chinese tourist city.
The company has been supplying Guilin in South China with flowmakers since 1995. The new contract involves the supply of 78 Landia flowmakers, mixers and recirculation pumps.
“We are immensely proud of this important new order,” said Landia export sales director Thorkild Maagaard. “It demonstrates that forward-thinking customers recognise and appreciate the operational and financial benefits that can be gained from investing in top quality equipment.”
The Aeration, Anoxic and Anaerobic Zones at Guilin will install Landia’s POPL-I flowmakers, which Landia claims provide flexibility for wastewater treatment due to their low rotations.
POP-I Mixers from Landia, designed for use in harsh conditions, will also be used to agitate, homogenise and keep solids in suspension.
Meanwhile Landia’s AXP-I Pumps, which are claimed to recirculate large volumes of water at low head but without creating excessive energy bills, will recirculate activated sludge from the Aeration Zone into the Anoxic Zone at Guilin.
An important cultural city with a 2,000-year history and a landscape renowned for its natural beauty, Guilin is situated in South China on the west bank of the Li River.
This latest export order for Landia follows the company’s recent contract with Triveni Engineering and Industries to supply 18 BioMover mixers for an advanced water treatment plant in Agra, India.
