Resin infusion process
5 Feb 2014

Tufnol Composites is currently introducing a new resin infusion process to its production plant in Birmingham in order to widen its product offering and enter new markets
The process will allow the business to supply new industry sectors requiring larger, moulded and finished composite structures previously not part of Tufnol’s standard product range.
Traditionally, Tufnol manufactures its products using high pressure presses to produce flat sheets, rods and tubes which then require machining to create a variety of components.
However, with resin infusion, minimum machining is required as the process creates a moulded, finished product.
