GE launches moisture analyser
5 Jun 2014
GE Measurement & Control has introduced moisture.IQ, the latest addition to its IQ series. The moisture.IQ analyser is designed to provide accurate, real time and reliable operation with the field-proven M series and Moisture Image Series probes. The analyser is intended for applications where moisture and oxygen content impact product quality and process efficiency.
This includes petrochemical, refinery, industrial gas, furnace gas, and air drying applications in sectors such as power generation, metal manufacture, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and industrial manufacturing.
“The versatility of measuring trace moisture and oxygen in up to six points of measurement with one analyser provides unsurpassed value,” said Narge Sparages, product manager for GE Measurement & Control.
“The moisture.IQ analyser is the culmination of the combined GE and Panametrics heritage,” he added.
The Panametrics aluminium oxide sensor is designed to operate at process pressures from vacuum up to 5000 psig (345 bar).
According to GE, this ensures the most reliable measurement available, with the sensor installed at the point of measurement and moisture.IQ located in the analyser room, up to thousands of feet away. The same sensor is also equipped to measure trace moisture in gases and in hydrocarbon liquids.
Furthermore, the moisture.IQ analyser and its associated probes are supported globally by GE’s experienced applications engineers and technical support teams.
