Emerson Process Management has announced the expansion of its Leicester facility, including a new staging area for customer Factory Acceptance Testing.
Announcement of the expansion, which adds an extra 2,230m2 to the existing 4924m2 of floor space at the Leicester facility, follows the start of construction on Emerson’s £20 million North Sea service centre this summer.
“The multi-million pound investment in the expansion of our Leicester facility, together with the new service centre being constructed in Aberdeen will help meet the growing demand for Emerson’s technology and services for projects in the UK and Europe,” said Emerson Process Management Europe president Roel Van Doren.
Emerson last week also announced the acquisition of US-based pressure transducers manufacturer Paine Electronics.
The company, based in East Wenatchee, Washington, has been producing pressure and temperature sensors for use in challenging environments since 1951
Emerson Process Management said the acquisition would extend “its leadership in providing measurement technologies for the oil and gas industry with expanded upstream capabilities in subsea and downhole drilling operations”.
Paine’s products will join Emerson’s Rosemount portfolio of measurement technologies.
