Ineos eyes North Sea production
25 Nov 2014
Ineos plans to move into North Sea oil & gas production, advertising a number of senior roles on its website.
The chemical company has created a new subsidiary called Ineos Upstream, led by chief executive Gary Haywood (above), which until now has been focussed on onshore oil & gas production – the firm announced last week it intends to invest £640 million in shale gas exploration in northern England and Scotland.
However, the “Upstream Opportunities” section of Ineos website is now advertising a number of offshore production roles, including CEO of “the newly created Ineos North Sea offshore oil and gas production business”.
Other roles advertised include operations director, engineering manager and supply chain manager.
Ineos was unavailable for comment.
