Ashtead boosts gas detection range

Ashtead Technology has boosted its fleet of rental instruments with a new gas detector for measuring volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
The MiniRAE 3000 suits a range of applications, including leak detection, fenceline monitoring, occupational safety and contaminated land, emergency response, and arson investigation.
It has a response time of 3 seconds, an improved auto-cleaning photoionisation detector (PID), and has an extended range of 0.1 – 15,000ppm.
Built-in correction factors enable measurements of over 200 compounds, and readings can be stored in its onboard memory which is capable of logging data for up to 6 months at 1-minute intervals.
The model’s design features larger buttons, a built-in flashlight and an IP67 rating.
