Wilo-Stratos GIGA is presented as the go-to pump solution for optimising the cost of heating, cold water and cooling systems in industry and buildings.
Compared to conventional uncontrolled pumps, says Wilo, the product saves up to 70% energy – per pump, per year, adding up to eight tonnes of CO2 saved.
Wilo adds that it has designed every component, from the drive, through the electronics to the hydraulics, to operate at the highest level, while co-ordinating each of the components.
The company has also developed a pump drive with a motor efficiency that exceeds energy efficiency standard IE4. The core of this achievement can be traced back to the choice of EC motor technology.
As regards the hydraulics for Wilo-Stratos GIGA, both the housing and three-dimensional impellers are shaped precisely into a geometric form that maximises flow and minimises impedance.
