VEGA has introduced two new radar level sensors during the last 18 months: the VEGAPULS 69 for the continuous measurement of bulk solids, and the VEGAPULS 64 for liquid applications, both transmitting at a frequency of 80 GHz.
The company says these instruments have proven their worth, especially on media with poor reflective properties, in production shafts up to 120m deep, or in silos with numerous internal installations that generate strong false echoes.
The VEGAPULS 64’s small antenna allows precise measurement of the level very close to the bottom of tank installations.
This, according to VEGA, opens up new perspectives in determining the level in small containers used in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, as well as determining the amount of fuel left at the bottom of large fuel tanks.
