Emerson valve steams ahead

The Fisher TBX steam conditioning valve from Emerson Process Management is designed to combine precise pressure and temperature control in a single turbine bypass valve.
According to Emerson, it optimises operating performance and reliability in the most severe steam applications.
It also helps avoid potential damage to steam turbines or boilers, prevent start-up delays, and increase plant efficiency, Emerson added.
“Increased energy costs and the desire for more efficient cycling power plant operation requires better control of steam conditions,” said Benoit Wagner, Europe engineering director of Emerson’s Fisher Valves and Instruments business.
“The Fisher TBX has been designed to enable efficient control of steam pressure and temperature, providing optimised performance supporting the daily cycling of a power plant.”
