As part of its series of workshops and training courses, HBM will be running a one-day course to explain how to determine material properties in dynamic conditions.
The ‘Faster than the Speed of Sound – Transient Testing’ training course, which runs on 20 October, will also discuss suitable equipment for the job, HBM says.
The course will focus on transient measurements with Genesis High Speed and Perception software, and will explain what a transient signal is and the different user models in Perception, such as acquisition and storage of data.
Providing information on which sample rates and filter types are suitable, the course will also highlight triggers and explain Fast Fourier Transformation analysis, HBM adds.
The course is free to attend and is suitable for all users from all technical fields. HBM says no prior knowledge for this training course is necessary - although a basic knowledge of measurement technology would be useful.
