If pipelines channelling steam and other hot fluids in industrial plants are not insulated correctly, heat is lost and more energy is required to maintain the necessary temperature level.
In this context, Paroc says the use of its Pro Lock pipe sections will result in industrial pipelines being insulated efficiently.
Expansions of the pipeline at high temperatures are offset by the z-lock cut into the ends and down the length of the section, and heat losses are reduced by up to 25%, says the company.
When operating temperatures exceed 250°C, or required thickness is more than 160mm, overlapping double layer insulation is often required. Paroc offers these solutions, but the Pro Lock option can also simulate overlapping double layers in one application.
The Paroc Pro Lock WR 100 is aimed at long service at up to 350°C, while for higher temperatures, the Paroc Pro Lock WR 140 is deemed the best choice.
