EEF launches campaign to develop manufacturing talent

A new leadership and development programme launched by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, is designed to help companies train “manufacturing leaders” of the future.
According to EEF, the ‘Make Great’ programme will keep the UK at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution, by recruiting, retaining and developing the right skills to address the digital revolution.

Commenting on the programme, Caroline Gumble, chief operating officer at EEF, said: “The fourth industrial revolution and the increased use of digital technology are going to present manufacturing businesses and their leaders with significant challenges.

There are four key areas of expertise available to companies under the programme, including qualifications and courses at all levels from the Institute for Leadership Management and Chartered Management Institute:
- Retaining and recruiting talent
- Coaching and mentoring
- People performance and skills management
- Strategic change management and restructuring
