The TIM-PROFINET interface module from HBM is suited to highly dynamic applications due to its bus cycle time of 4 kHz.
It integrates torque and rotational speed measurements with fieldbus-based automation and control systems of test benches used for electric motors and combustion engines, gears, pumps and compressors.
Besides HBM torque transducers with a TMC (torque measurement communication) digital output signal, such as the T40 series, torque sensors with a classic frequency signal for torque and rotational speed can be easily integrated with PROFINET networks.
This reduces module variance and increases flexibility in the test bench, says the company.
HBM specialises in the field of test and measurement. The company’s product range comprises solutions for the entire measurement chain, from virtual to physical testing. There are production facilities in Germany, USA and China and HBM is represented in more than 80 countries worldwide.
