Honeywell and Dover to partner on IIoT solutions

Honeywell and Dover Energy Automation have announced a new collaboration to help industrial energy customers improve their operations via the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions.
Andrew Hird, vice president and general manager of Honeywell Process Solutions’ Digital Transformation business, said:
“The need for deep domain knowledge and experience across a range of applications to quickly and fully evaluate a plant’s needs cannot be overstated,” he remarked.
“Dover’s expertise in equipment condition monitoring and asset integrity management … makes it a powerful collaborator to provide expertise for our customers.”

The partnership comes as part of Honeywell’s Connected Plant Initiative that helps manufacturers leverage IIoT to improve the safety, efficiency and reliability of operations across a single plant or several plants across an enterprise.
Dover Energy Automation is a global supplier of products, tools and automation software that aids oil and gas operators to monitor, predict and optimise performance to improve productivity.
Its domain knowledge in condition monitoring and asset optimisation will combine with Honeywell’s skillset in data consolidation, cyber security and software development will combine, said a spokesperson.
Dover Energy Automation president Ali Raza added: “Dover brings a history of technology leadership to this partnership that is unmatched.”
