By combining configurable enclosure designs with Electronic Marshalling technology, Emerson is able to deliver standard hardware layouts in a range of sizes offering flexible I/O, ready to install.
Configuring the system hardware comes down to three simple choices: the style of the enclosure, the size of the system, and the system interfaces required.
Emerson’s configure-to-order (CTO) concept also allows for a degree of customisation to suit the customer’s needs, says the company.
Software configuration can be automated or manual and is simplified by using TUV certified advanced function blocks for voting, cause and effect and state-based/sequential logic.
Pre-engineered solutions are beneficial for most safety applications on small to medium sized projects.
Standard solutions are available for applications including emergency shutdown, burner management, fire and gas detection, high-integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS) and overfill protection.
