New nuclear skills academy chief to start in December as Llewellyn departs

Tipa’s appointment follows current NSAN chief executive Jean Llewellyn’s decision to step down after 10 years in the role.

Llewellyn said: “I am now seeking the opportunity to utilise my skills as a non-executive director in other companies and, whilst I am sad to leave NSAN, the time is right and I am delighted that Jo has been appointed as my successor.”

Tipa, who has also worked at the NSAN since 2007, will officially take up her new role on 1 December.

She said: “I am really excited to take on this new role and help to take NSAN into its next chapter. NSAN has tremendous opportunity to grow further, bringing our strong business values and customer focused delivery, we will continue to meet the demands of the industry and the high expectations of our members.”

According to NSAN chairman Robert Davies, Tipa was appointed because she has the “ideal combination of skills, ability and experience” to take the organisation forward.
