World-renowned distillation expert Henry Kister will once again be running his Practical Distillation Technology course, delivered by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) from 15-17 October in London.
A consistently popular course, attendees have been known to travel from international locations to learn from the man known as the ‘tower doctor’.
Main topics include how to avoid fractionation pitfalls, troubleshooting distillation simulations, tray hydraulics and limits, troubleshooting tray towers, troubleshooting packed towers, de-bottlenecking, distillation control and how to avoid tower malfunctions.
Kister is a Flour Corporation Fellow and director of fractionation technology and the author of three distillation textbooks and more than 100 technical articles. He has also presented this course numerous times around the globe.
