Engineering degrees dominate top earning graduate jobs

Engineers dominate the list of top earning graduate roles in the UK, according to The Sunday Times’s latest version of its Good University Guide.
Half of the most lucrative jobs for new earners are in engineering-related occupations.
While specialist chemical engineers rank sixth on the list, general engineering graduates are in third place with a mean average salary of nearly £29,000 six months after graduation – a level exceeded only by dentists and doctors.
The list, which will be published with full details on Sunday, was launched in 1998 to coincide with the advent of student tuition fees. It now includes an assessment of some 70 subjects and around 130 British universities.
