An engineering and energy company which broke into the UK top performing companies league has won a leading international safety award just days later.
Stockton-based solutions business px won the Energy Industries Council’s Collaboration Award, beating shortlisted rivals Wood and Lionweld Kennedy for reducing costs and increasing efficiency at some of the UK’s most potentially hazardous assets.
CEO Mark Kenrick said: “We are delighted to have received this award. It reinforces our belief that the collaborative way in which we operate the assets under our control brings significant benefits to all parties involved – from asset owners and service and infrastructure customers through to our employees and shareholders.”
The trophy was presented shortly after the firm learned it had entered the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Fast Track 250 list for the first time. Ranking is provided for the top performing private mid-market firms in terms of sales growth, with px in 235th place.
