‘How much am I losing by not having an HPS pigging system?’ is the question posed by HPS in its new video.
Liquid product recovery, often referred to as ‘pigging’, is one of the most effective ways for companies that process liquids to increase yields, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency, says HPS. A wide range of organisations throughout the world use HPS solutions as part of their processing operations every day.
In the video, the company uses examples from a selection of case studies from a variety of our customers in different industries. They provide practical examples of some of the different types of pipeline pigging and liquid transfer systems HPS has implemented, and off insights into how the company’s solutions have benefited their customers.
HPS explains how one client, a well-known global business with more than 350 brands sold in 150 countries, now saves half a million dollars every year after installing one of the company’s pigging systems.
This meant increased profitability, less waste, better operational efficiency and improved environmental sustainability
The client instructed HPS to conduct an investigation that highlighted the precise areas that were causing losses. These were then ranked in order of how much each was costing the client so that HPS could target the area that would deliver the biggest gains.
This led to the company designing a high-quality pigging solution and going on to manage installation and commissioning. Product waste was slashed, says HPS, and production capacity increased. Changeovers were quicker, and water, chemical and energy consumption was reduced.
This meant increased profitability, less waste, better operational efficiency and improved environmental sustainability.
