Endress+Hauser level and pressure centre chief killed in car crash

Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure centre managing director Dr Dirk Mörmann has been killed in a car accident, the firm’s parent company has announced.
In a public statement, Endress+Hauser Group said the centre’s management team would run the business subsidiary based at Maulburg, Germany until further notice.
CEO of the Process instrumentation and automation supplier Dr Peter Selders paid tribute to Mörmann, who died on 25 March as he returned from a business meeting.
“We are all deeply shocked and saddened by the news. Our thoughts at this moment are with his wife, his three children and all his relatives,” said Selders.
“Dr Mörmann left a lasting impression on us in a short space of time, particularly through his warm-hearted personality. We will miss him.”
Selders was Mörmann’s predecessor at Maulburg before taking over as chief executive of Endress+Hauser Group, based in Reinach, Switzerland, in January 2024.
The two had worked together since Mörmann, 51, joined Endress+Hauser in May 2022, with responsibility for technology. Prior to that he was head of strategic marketing at KROHNE Messtechnik GmbH oard.
As managing director for Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure, Mörmann was responsible for more than 2,000 people worldwide. Overall, Endress+Hauser Group employs 16,500 people globally.
