Indigo Pipelines sale to complete by February 2019

The UK’s third largest independent gas transportation network, Indigo Pipelines, is being sold by its owner to infrastructure asset management firm Arjun Infrastructure Partners.
The sale by present owner Scottish Equity Partners is due for completion by the end of February next year
Created in 1993 by SSE, Indigo was originally named SSE Pipeline. It passed to SEP in 2014 and currently includes an estimated 180,000 gas connections.
Commenting on the sale, SEP partner Gary Le Sueur said: “Over the course of the last few years, we have developed Indigo into a high quality and successful business. It is now one of the fastest growing companies in its sector with an impressive track record. The proposed transaction will provide a significant return to our investors.
“We believe that AIP will be an excellent owner of the business and that Indigo will continue to perform strongly in the future."
AIP, which has extensive operational and financial experience in regulated utilities, energy and renewables, and transportation and manages over £1.2 billion of funds for institutional investors.
