Pumps company is export champion twice over

North East pumps manufacturer Tomlinson Hall has been named a Northern Powerhouse export champion for the second year running.
Over the last 12 months, the Billingham firm has grown exports by 40%, with deliveries to the USA, Middle East and South East Asia. The latter was bolstered by new contracts with China, including Hong Kong.
Business development director Colin Simpson said: “Selling overseas is strengthening our local economy and it is an excellent way for businesses to propel even further through starting to think bigger.
“British engineered and manufactured products are in high demand, as we have seen with our own Liquivac pump. With our success in significantly growing our export activities – of which the Department of International Trade have very much supported – we hope to play our part in helping other North East companies to do the same.”
The firm, which this year celebrates its centenary, manufactures its Liquivac pump from its facilities in Billingham and is a major distributor of leading industrial pump brands.
