Alicat dual valve pressure controllers are designed by Premier Control Technologies (PCT) for dead-ended, non-flowing, systems requiring very precise control with zero overshoot.
Valve One acts as a pressure reducer ensuring that the process pressure is never below the required set-point. Valve Two acts as an ‘exhaust’ ensuring set-point can never be exceeded.
Enclosed volumes in steady state maintain these valves in equilibrium (no fluid enters, or leaves, the system). Should gas be consumed, valve one will open until set-point is reached. Should temperature and hence pressure increase, valve two will open to relieve build-up.
Being very fast (50ms) and accurate, it ensures pressure control at any point within the system by utilising a remote sensor port (pneumatic link) or a remote sensor itself.
